Skills and Development Coaching for Qualitative Researchers

'Learning on the job' can be sporadic and disorganised. Feedback opportunities are missed because of the need to meet deadlines.

Genesis Consulting can offer coaching for individuals (using a solution-focused approach) or train others in coaching skills to embed coaching throughout the organisation.

There is a huge overlap with the skills needed for effective qualitative research; making senior researchers strong candidates for coaches. However there are additional skills such as goal setting, managing the relationship, giving feedback and planning the coaching, which need to be integrated.
